"November-spiration"

Hey Internet! April here,
Yes, sorry, if you haven't already noticed from the title of the post,
I said the 'C' word!! dun dun durr!

Its ok though, the heart throbbing John Lewis & Coca Cola adverts have been on! so its time to stop procrastinating from gift buying, grab the mulled wine & be ready for the next month and a half of your life, flash before your very eyes!
Or give it another 2 weeks before starting if you like, no ones judging! I'm not, i don't start shopping till the very last minute.... oops

Its mid-week, and for me, that means a whole lot of pinning has been done! So i would like to roundup this weeks most inspirational interior Christmas pins i have come across, so get those imagination juices flowing and have the Christmas boards ready for some re-pinning!...

~Its these types of pictures that make me so excited that one day i will have my own place, somewhere i have the freedom to be as creative as i like, without restrictions, like parents or money. Its so hard to get use to the lack of freedom you have when you move back home from university.

I feel this has gone off on a bit of a tangent... CHRISTMAS!

~When I think about Christmas, I think glitter, warmth, mulled wine, the fresh smell of Christmas trees and best of all, decorations! One of my favourite things to do is blitz through the Christmas baubles in shops like John Lewis. I turn in to an absolute crazy person, when i find myself getting overly excited, i call it bauble fever ~ does anyone else get like this... i hope so, otherwise, i probably need to see someone...

~VODKA~

A new thing this year I'm going to try, will do, is create flavoured vodkas. Every year my little old nanna creates the most amazing cranberry/raspberry infused vodka, that fuels the whole Christmas period, so my tasks is to get her to impart her wisdom/witchcraft in creating successful berry infused Christmas vodkas, i will let you know how i get on :P

~Some example flavours that i want to try out!~

~DIY

Before the year is out, i have a few DIY projects in mind, including spiced fruit centre pieces, Cinnamon and vanilla candle decorations and mason jar snow globes!

how cute are these DIYS! if you want to see blog posts of me attempting any of these, let me know, because such cuteness needs to be shared with the world!

~lastly! dun dun durrr!
Has everyone seen the awesome advent calendars this year! granted they are super expensive but i kinda want to splash out and just go for it? is that bad? Ive had my eye on getting the benefit advent calendar for the past few years and i think its time that i just go for it.

So yeah, this is basically a condensed version of my Christmas Pinterest odyssey from the other night, i hope i have got some creative juices flowing and inspired some christmasy purchases and DIYS!

Little FWI; the images i will be including are not mine, if you want to find the original makers of the images i made a bored on Pinterest for you, check it out below xx

Last Minute Halloween Make Up Looks!

Hey guys, Alex here and I'm bringing you Halloween makeup Inspiration!

Are You Panicking about what your going to be for Halloween? Then don't worry, Here are Some last minute Halloween make up looks and tutorials!

I am always a last minute kind of girl, especially with things like Halloween, of course I plan to buy an outfit online, but life happens and i never get round to getting things sorted. Don't panic I have some quick and easy tips for you, that won't cost a lot either... your welcome

Firstly, don't worry about your outfit, make up at Halloween can make the look complete, even if you end up just wearing something you usually wear!

Be confident be comfortable and be slightly tipsy
(if your of age, of course)

If you really want a quick and easy, budget friendly Halloween, Asda and Poundland are your BFF's.
Pound stretcher is also usually very good too, however the products aren't made to last. On the plus side though, they have vast amounts of halloweeny goodness, like face paints, hair bands, and wigs, that you can play with (back comb, spray dye, and braid)

But lets face the fact that if your going to a Halloween party, where there will be alcohol, after a while, no ones going to be noticing what your wearing, and if your wearing something that catches the attention of "drunk eyes" it will only get wrecked. trust me, i have had many university alcohol fuelled Halloween party's, i know how easy and fast it take something to get recked.

My first Halloween makeup look; scarecrow doll

To become the scare crow doll-
This look is easier than it looks. Grab a flannel shirt, jeans or shorts and pare it with some high tops or some wellies! To create the face use a light foundation/ white face paint. Pink blush/ red lipstick smudged into a circle. Use Eye liner pen and mark on your face the lips, nose!
Sorted!

My second Halloween look is; Grumpy Cat!

This is a super easy look to become Grumpy Cat. Its a fun and quirky look, dress in white or cream clothing, even push the boat out with a fluffy coat? I think the make up is pretty easy, white face paint and then brown eyes :) remember to accentuate the mouth area, to get the perfect grumpy cat.

My third Halloween look is mine from last year-Little Red Riding Hood!

So Last year I created DARK little red riding hood!
(Such a flattering photo)

The look is quite easy to re create too, remember i did this on a uni budget too! I got a vampire red cape from a fancy dress shop in Birmingham paired with a pirate dress. For the makeup i wore normal foundation, and blusher with a berry red lip. I then used brown eye showdown to make my face look dirty. For my eyes, i bought some black out contacts for £10 off amazon and then created a smokey eye and then went around my eye with grey eye shadow, to make a more ghostly appearance.

Me and Amreeta <3
(apologies for the poor quality of photo, a mix of drunk and front facing camera quality)

I was a Unicorn for a fancy dress birthday party and well i pretty much covered my face in glitter and used a very pastel eyeshadow in various colours. To create the horn I just simply rolled tinfoil to make a cone and super glued it onto a head band. This is a total tangent from Halloween inspirations, but it shows you can use anything your imagination can fathom, to create quirky looks.

My forth Halloween look is Beatle Juice!

This year i decided that Beetle juice would be my outfit! For my Look, i simply covered my face in white face paint and contoured. Instead of blush, i used a mixture of black and green face paint. For my eyes I used purple, brown and green eye shadow's. This was literally the quickest look, and I think the effect was quite good. I just paired it with a striped shirt and leggings and then messed my hair up. Seeing as his hair is grey well- I already had it! I guess you could get grey spray or a Wig.

My fifth Halloween Look is Bambi!
Step By Step Bambi Inspired;

After Applying a Foundation and concealer base. I marked out with a silver/white eyeshadow around my eyes and key areas where I needed to be extra highlighted for my face to get the final look.

After I had filled in the marked areas I added bronzer and darker foundation to the sides of my nose, cheeks and up to my temples, like a type of contour.

Once I felt orange enough I went over with more white eyeshadow and some white face paint to highlight my T-zone section of my face. I got a brown eyeliner and filled in my eyebrows and graduated down to my nose slowly fading and blending the colour into the bronzer.

I then Repeated on the other side and started to add black eyeliner to my nose section. I also added white eyeliner to make freckles.
Once this was dry I then extended my black eyeliner to my lip (shown in the picture)
i filled in the top lip only.

Final touches Included addling as neutral pink lipstick to the bottom lip and then adding black eyeliner around the eye and smudging and blending it in to the crease of the eye.

I would then accessorise with maybe twigs attach to a hair band for antlers and then a fur Gillet or coat :)

And Finally! my Sixth look is a Doll

Excuse the Shocked face :)

For Creepy doll Inspired make up;

I put a pale Foundation base on, then a bright pink eye shadow, for the blush i just go round in circles to create the blushing cheeks, the brighter the better for the doll effect.
I then Blacked my eyebrows- which i regretted after, as they turned out to be wonky :S I guess it made the look extra creepy :)
I then just covered my eye lids in a light blue eyeshadow and then a darker one for the creases.

For the final touches, slowly mark out with eyeliner the jaw marks and then Cover lips in nude lipstick/foundation and just put lipstick on a small area like this to create the doll lip effect.

The final look!

I hope this has inspired you!

Have a super creepy halloween guys! and tweet us some of your halloween make up looks!

BrandCast Event/ Exclusive Zoella Meetup

Hey Internet!

April here with a different style of post this week,

A couple of weeks prior to 14th October, I was selected/invited to attend an exclusive Zoella meet up, where i invited Amreeta along for an adventure.
This was totally out of the blue, actually winning, i never win anything!

Our little adventure stretched across two days, the first day going to Google HQ in London, to collect our wrist bands and to be told where the actual event is being held. The day was really exciting because we weren't allowed to tweet, post to Facebook or Instagram about the meet up until the event was over, so we all felt really special because we was in the loop.
well, i felt special.

The second day; we had the task of finding Battersea evolution centre, it was interesting to say the least... we may or may not have walked the wrong way and went over the wrong bridge, but we did make it on the very dot of half past 5!
After queueing for a little while, the Youtube team came out and offered us all little boxes of pop corn, super cute, and when we got inside we were handed canvas bags with a few treaty nibblets inside!

The BrandCast event which co in-sided with the meet up is Googles biggest event of the year, celebrating and highlighting the talent that Youtube has to offer, many other Youtubers as well as PR people attended including a live performance from Rudemental.
so jealous, wish i could have witnessed the whole evening!

Over all a really fun few couple of days, that led me to meet Zoe! Someone that has, without a doubt enriched and inspired me, wether it be through fashion, or beauty advice, she stands to be a great role model and i only hope that one day i can be as inspiring as her!

(link to Zoe's vlog of the whole BrandCast evening)

Heres a little Vlog i made showing our  little London adventure :)

Ps) first time i have ever made a video! A* for effort! Also just want to say sorry about the quality, but blogger wouldn't let me upload in its original fabulous quality..

let me know if you went to the event! im currently scouring the internet for the professional photos they took of us! let me know if you have found them!
