Hello internet, April here,
This week were chatting through the hell, that is prepping for your graduation!!! dun dun durrrr..

'Its not actually hell, i am definitely over exaggerating'

This is basically a diary of how i have dealt with the run up/day after graduation!

Me looking fancy pants

Crep flippy dress- £30
necklace-£10
leather cream sandles- £30

Hair & Beauty

As my natural hair is still quite short i decided to don my hair extensions, this one process took me forever to complete, i not only had to wash the extensions, i had to repair a few clips and then curl! This whole process took about 4-5 hours...i'm so glad i did this the day before. By curling the hair in tight curls a day before, it allows the hair to naturally 'drop' and give an overall better/natural look
As for makeup, i kept it quite simple/ natural.

Flats Vs Heels

For me personally i never wear heels unless the event has guaranteed seating, and because i'm a tall person anyway i've never really needed to have to wear them. The thought of wearing heels for the whole day being in continuous pain really doesn't appeal to me so flats are my obvious choice, you deserve a medal if you can deal with heel for long periods of time. There is too much pressure for me to go on stage and not fall over, is just far too much for me to handle

The First World Problem of Storing Your iPhone

Lots of people kept their phone on them and stored them in either pockets or bras, but on the basis that i had no pockets and my chest is big enough without a phone sticking out too i opted to just give my parents my hand bag.

Do I Victory Dance on stage?

Not only did i have the pressure of not falling over on stage but we also had a 'distinguished guest' Mr. Gok Wan..receiving an honorary doctorate  sitting right at the front of the stage watching everyone walk past...AHHHHGH

PRESSURE to look GOOD

Now Dr Gok looks fabulous

There was also some stand out people doing a little victory dances across the stage, one lad choosing to take a selfie with the audience, then with the dean, causing the whole room to go in a fit of giggles, i on the other hand played it safe and chose to do i quick turn  and wave at the end of the stage for my parents to take a picture/ video

After Party Shindig

Us girlies decided to make the most of being back in birmingham and stayed in a travelodge together (£13 each, can't really go wrong with that tbh) on broad street,  home to all the best pubs/restaurants and clubs all of which we took full advantage of :)

Can't go wrong with buy one get one free cocktails in revolution

ps) remember to take headache tablets with you in your travel bag... we were all a bit worse for wear the day after the night before
